BLUSH (ASIAN BAND)
Blush is a pop music girl group composed of five members from the Philippines, India, China, Japan, and South Korea. They were formed by FarWest Entertainment in 2010 with the intent of popularizing an Asian vocal act in the United States as well as in all of Asia. They perform in the English language. A reality show called Project Lotus: The Search for Blush. about how the band was formed, premiered on Channel V on March 8, 2012 . The group created music history by becoming the first Asian singers to have their debut single hit the top 3 on a major US Billboard Chart when 'Undivided feat. Snoop Dogg' made number 3 on the Billboard Dance/Play Chart. Their second single 'Dance On' got to number 1 on that chart

Formation
Blush was formed by FarWest Entertainment in 2010 with the intent of popularizing an Asian vocal act in the United States, Asia as well as the rest of the world.
2010–2011
Blush has released two singles, Undivided and Dance On. In 2011 they have opened and perform along side with many artists including B.o.B, Far*East Movement, Black Eyed Peas, Justin Bieber, and other artists alike.
Musical Style
Tracks on their forthcoming debut album come from an unprecedented global roster of award winning hit songwriters and producers, including Tal Herzberg (The Black Eyed Peas, Justin Timberlake, Gwen Stefani, Lady Gaga), electronic music icon JXL/Wolverine (Britney Spears), top re-mixer Sander Kleinenberg (Janet Jackson, Daft Punk), Darrell Brown (Keith Urban, Bon Jovi), Steve Schnur (veteran A&R executive and producer of over 150 soundtrack albums, including tracks by Florence + The Machine and Busta Rhymes) and mixed by Manny Marroquin (Pink, Rihanna).
Members
The group consists of Alisha Budhrani from India, Angeli Flores from the Philippines, Ji Hae Lee from South Korea, Natsuko Danjo from Japan and Victoria Chan from China.
Alisha Budhrani
Alisha began her musical endeavours at the age of 10 after being moved by Mandy Moore’s song, “Only Hope” in the movie A Walk to Remember. She is inspired by strong female artists and actors such as Beyonce Knowles, Priyanka Chopra and many others because of the passion and dedication they exhibit in their work. Alisha also has an extensive background in dance and choreography. She has been dancing since she could walk and studied a variety of styles including Hip Hop, Bollywood, Salsa, Bellydance, Hawaiian and Indian Contemporary amongst others. Her experience has given her the opportunity to perform in front of audiences of 10,000 people as a back-up dancer for artists such as Eason Chan and Coco Lee.
Angeli Flores
Angeli started singing at the age of 8 with her older sister and got her first taste of the spotlight in the second grade, where she won a singing competition, beating the 3 year reigning champion. Angeli went on to perform in contests such as Star for a Night where she was a finalist and even became a fan favorite in the TV show Pinoy Idol, as a Top 12 finalist. Angeli is one of five children in her very musical family. She is inspired by her childhood idol, singer Regine Velasquez, also from the Philippines, as well as Alicia Keys because of their voices, music and humble nature. Keys has also inspired Angeli to want to learn to play the piano.
Ji Hae Lee
Ji Hae only recently discovered her incredibly gifted voice and started singing after graduating from Hoseo University, where she studied Law. She participated in Superstar K, Korea’s largest audition program and placed in the top 30, even though she has had no formal vocal or dance training. Ji Hae finds inspiration in local Korean artists, Hwayobi and Younkwon Na As well as international artists like Stacie Orrico and Joss Stone. She plays the flute and is learning to play the guitar.
Natsuko (Nacho) Danjo
Natsuko started dancing at the age of 3 in her mother’s own dance studio in her native Oita City. She has performed in two dance showcases each year since she was 6 years old and was involved in numerous dance competitions such as Head Hunter and Gangsta Boogie, placing first numerous times with her dance crew, SpongePants. Her moves along with her distinctive soulful voice make her a force to be reckoned with onstage. “Nacho” as she is known to her friends, is inspired by Christina Aguilera because of her powerful voice and raw emotion in her music. She is also an avid fan of hip hop superstar Lil Wayne and his unique style and beats.
Victoria Chan
Victoria has been singing since the day she could string together notes. She was influenced by movies such as Mary Poppins, The Sound of Music and could sing "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" by the age of 3, when she also started ballet and tap dancing lessons, followed by ballroom and Latin dancing later in her life. No stranger to musical theatre, Victoria attended the Junior Music Choir programme at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and has been involved in over 100 productions around Asia, including the 2008 Beijing Olympics Torch Relay song, “Light the Passion, Share the Dream”.
Career Achievements
Their first single, “Undivided” (featuring Snoop Dogg) reached #3 on the Billboard Dance chart. Their second single, "Dance On" reached #1 on the U.S. Billboard Dance Charts in February 2012.
Discography
Blush has released 2 singles. They also recorded the song "Up, Up, and Away" for the second season of Disney's hit TV series Shake It Up. It was released as a single on February 14, 2012. It will also be featured on the second soundtrack for the show, "Shake It Up! Live 2 Dance," which will be released on March 20, 2012.
Undivided
"Undivided" (featuring Snoop Dogg) was Blush's debut single released in 2011 with a live-action music video as well as an animated version; the first ever music video composed entirely on the Taptrix Brushes iPad application by Shawn Harris.
Dance On
"Dance On" was Blush's second single released in November of 2011. It reached #1 on the U.S. Billboard Dance Charts in February 2012.
All Stars
"All Stars" new single is slated for release soon. Music video has been filmed in Hong Kong and part of it in the US.
Tours
Asia
Blush has been on tours in the Philippines and Singapore as well as in Hong Kong. The group will also be performing as the front act of Jessie J concert tour in Malaysia (March 16, 2012), Indonesia (March 18, 2012) and Singapore (March 20, 2012).
USA
Blush has been on tours in California, Nevada and New Jersey.
